Cast Iron

When looking for THE most durable material there is for your fireplace look no further. Cast Iron will not only retain its aesthetic details a lot longer than stone but it can also play a practical role. Due to its thermal conductivity if the material is close enough to your heat source and depending on the strength of the heat source, it will absorb and rediate that heat.
