Mantel: 52" Aztec Bolection in Bianca Carrara, Honed Finish 25mm rebate   Carrara is a type of white or blue-grey marble popular for use in sculpture and building decor. It has been quarried since Roman times in the mountains just outside the city of Carrara in Italy. The pure white ‘statuario’ grade (sometimes referred to as statuary) was used for monumental sculpture, but had run out by the late 20th century. The current material production is of stone with a greyish tint, or streaks of black or grey on white which makes it an attractive choice for fireplace production. It has a high tensile strength, can take a high gloss polish and holds very fine detail. It is classified by two variations, one is Carrara C with pure white background colour and light grey veins or dots. This is the most refined and precious quality of Bianca Carrara. The other type is Carrara CD, it has darker background with dark grey or black veining or dots. Our Carrara fireplaces are available in both polished (smooth and shiny) and honed (smooth and matt) finishes. Any inclusions or brecciation will be stopped, filled and polished to match the finish of the marble.  

Mantel: 50" Bolection in Arabescato, Polished Finish 30mm rebate Extracted from quarries in Tuscany, Arabescato marble is a natural stone of great distinction and value characterised by very elegant and recognisable veining patterns. The veining can be either rounded or straight, depending on the sub-variety of Arabescato marble; for example, Arabescato Corchia has a more rounded vein pattern, whereas Arabescato Vagli has more straight and strong veining. The veining pattern depends on the quarry and location from which the marble was extracted. We generally select material with a rounded vein pattern but there are still substantial variations between batches. For this reason we photograph each fireplace prior to packing and can supply these images via our stockists upon request. Any inclusions or brecciation will be stopped, filled and polished to match the finish of the marble.

Mantel: 50" Bolection in Dolomite Gold, Polished Finish 25mm rebate Dolomite Gold: This creamy white marble is characterised by its pattern of golden brown veins interspersed with subtle light greys and the occasional fleck of pink. Not dissimilar to Calacatta Vagli this material will truly compliment any living space.

Mantel: 50" Bolection in Rosso Levanto, Polished Finish 25mm rebate Rosso Levanto Marble is a striking and elegant natural stone that originates from quarries in Italy and Turkey. "Rosso Levanto" translates to "Red Levant" in Italian, referring to its rich red color and its association with the historic Levant region. This marble is highly prized for its deep red hues, interspersed with intricate white veins and occasional variations in tone, creating a visually captivating and luxurious appearance. The primary characteristic of Rosso Levanto Marble is its intense and vibrant red color. The shade of red can vary from deep burgundy to a warmer, earthier red, providing a range of options to suit different design preferences. It is the strong red base that lends this marble its distinctive character and makes it a popular choice for creating dramatic and eye-catching interiors. As with any highly veined marble brecciations (open veins) in the material are a common occurrence. These brecciations form naturally and when found during production will be stopped and filled.

Mantel: 54" Flat Victorian in Black Granite, Polished Finish 30mm rebate Although we refer to this as 'granite', it is actually a type of fine to medium grained gabbro. Black in colour with gold flecks, it can be highly polished to a consistent colour and deep lustre, giving it high resistance to scratching and staining. We can also supply it in a honed finish that should be treated after installation to prevent accidental marking.

For this reason we photograph each fireplace prior to packing and can supply these images via our stockists upon request. We only supply our fireplaces in a polished (smooth and shiny) finish. It is a brecciated material and hence will be stopped and filled with suitable resins and glues during production. This is standard procedure and the material should not be regarded as faulty or sub-standard.

Mantel: Shoreditch in Lilac Viola, Polished Finish 25mm rebate Originating from Turkey, Lilac Viola marble has a striking appearance featuring deep purple and black veins crisscrossing the crystalline white background. Each slab is unique and it is a truly eye-catching marble. Some areas may have very few veins whereas other parts may appear almost solid purple due to the abundance of natural veining. For this reason we photograph each fireplace prior to packing and can supply these images via our stockists upon request. It is a brecciated material and hence will be stopped and filled with suitable resins and glues during production. This is standard procedure and the material should not be regarded as faulty or sub-standard. This material will sometimes contain orange veining. We will do everything in our power to avoid this but it is the makeup of this natural material and can sometimes be unavoidable.
